Our Team

A strong team is supporting our five patent attorneys:

About Our Firm

Established in 1966, we currently manage several thousand patents, trademarks and designs for predominantly German medium-sized and larger companies. At that time the law firm was established by Werner and Ilse Freischem. Since then, her son Stephan has later joined the firm and added more patent attorneys. At the same time, he was able to retain the familiar touch. You can find out more about this in the history section. The office is conveniently located in the center of Cologne at Barbarossaplatz only 7 minutes away from the train station with the subway. Of course, an underground car park is also available for our clients.

Qualification

Every patent attorney is admitted before all relevant offices and courts in this field. In particular, all our patent attorneys can practice before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office. They are subject to the Patent Attorneys’ Act. They are also members of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys. In addition, every patent attorney has a degree in physical or engineering sciences. Subsequently, each partner underwent many years of additional training to become a patent attorney.
